  • Given the juiciest plotline, Tamblyn goes for it, turning in a hard-boiled performance that's a needed contrast to her co-stars' tendency to go for sweet. show more

  • The resulting drama is more deeply felt than it is deep. But I can't think of another film so frankly dealing with what we expect from friendship, so tenderly showing how friends can fail in one area, yet be there in another. show more

  • The reason this franchise has been so successful - both on film and in Ann Brashares' original novels - is that, just like the jeans, it suits the needs of vastly different girls. show more

I just saw the very first one... the first one was okay, it had the first-movie time performances from all four actresses. then, I saw this one and thought, I actually like this one better than the first movie... the performances were heartfelt, deeply entertaining, and fun to watch. the four actresses really this time delivered more stronger performances as from the first film. I enjoyed it.
