The movie was quite good. It was able to hold the interest of both my 5 and 7 year old throughout the picture without any animation which is by far their fav. It was a little scary for the 5 year old daughter. The story takes place in a house that could fit into any haunted house movy easily so it helps to sell the whole idea of magical presence. The characters were well fitted for this movie and believable in the short time that we were able to get acquainted with them. The ending is splendid and you walked out of the theatre feeling really good. I would recommend the spiderwick chronicles!.

Freddy Hightower was good in it. too many ugly creaturesin it. I wouldn't recommend it for little kids.

went and seen the movie over the weekend and we loved it.I was not for sure if i would enjoy it just going along with the kids,but i really enjoyed it.My daughters and friends really liked it and kept their eyes glued to the screen not for sure what would happen next.i recommend that you parents go along with the kids to see this movie cause you too will love it!!!!

This movie ended up being better than I expected. The special effects were outstanding, the acting was top-notch and the story line was exciting. It really kept you interested the whole time and on the edge of your seat. The special effects make this a movie that is worth seeing on the big screen.

What a great little surprise! Terrific acting, great special effects...well done! Entertaining, very funny, heartwarming--I highly recommend.

I just saw this movie and was extremely satisfied. It was visually stunning. More importantly, the family's story was very moving. I laughed and cried a lot by the time the movie was over. I will buy the DVD for sure! Go see it and enjoy.

This movie was a lot of fun. I love Freddie Highmore, he was good, but didn't pull his twin acting off too well as Lindsey Lohan did very well in The Parent Trap. Don't get me wrong, Freddie is a GREAT actor and did fine but I wish I saw more range plus his english accent went in and out and I caught the accent clearly on certain words. He was better than the sister though. The creatures were great fun. The Griffin was a reminder of the Luck Dragon in Neverending Story. But it was so fun. Loved the house, Loved the creatures, loved the secret room in the house and the monsters were scary but fun. Yay Spiderwick!

The Spiderwick Chronicales is an amaizing movie. It was so real. There are only a few things I didn;t like. One, they didn't follow the books. They didn't even show a trace of book four. It was still a really good movie. I would watch it any time.
