This movie is really awesome but I wouldn't suggest kids tounger than a pre-teen age to see. This movie is a little to overwelming for littler kids to see but otherwise I suggest people to go see it. It will diffently keep you on the edge of your seat

I took my granddaughters to see this movie. They are ages 9 and 12. They loved this movie and so did I. It is enjoyable for all ages. We saw it twice!

The movie was quite good. It was able to hold the interest of both my 5 and 7 year old throughout the picture without any animation which is by far their fav. It was a little scary for the 5 year old daughter. The story takes place in a house that could fit into any haunted house movy easily so it helps to sell the whole idea of magical presence. The characters were well fitted for this movie and believable in the short time that we were able to get acquainted with them. The ending is splendid and you walked out of the theatre feeling really good. I would recommend the spiderwick chronicles!.

This movie was a lot of fun. I love Freddie Highmore, he was good, but didn't pull his twin acting off too well as Lindsey Lohan did very well in The Parent Trap. Don't get me wrong, Freddie is a GREAT actor and did fine but I wish I saw more range plus his english accent went in and out and I caught the accent clearly on certain words. He was better than the sister though. The creatures were great fun. The Griffin was a reminder of the Luck Dragon in Neverending Story. But it was so fun. Loved the house, Loved the creatures, loved the secret room in the house and the monsters were scary but fun. Yay Spiderwick!

I just saw ( in an empty theater) the picture. i enjoyed it thoroughly, mostly because of the child actor, Highmore. He is remarkable. If you like magic and fantasy, then this is the movie for you. It has a compelling family story with enjoyable computer driven special effects.

The Spiderwick Chronicles was an enjoyable fantasy, suitable for the entire family (though targeted for children). It's plotline is fairly simple, and wraps up quite nicely at the end. It is not an epic fantasy like LOR or Harry Potter but still holds its own. It's one of the better fantasy films to have come out recently.

I really enjoyed watching this movie. I actually jumped a few times because it was a little scary, even for adults. Freddie Highmore gave a great performance, as did the rest of the cast. It's a fun and family friendly movie and I would recommend it to almost anybody.

Little scary for young children. But a little young for adults. It really was not too bad not something I would buy.
