The Square really tightens the screws - it's so skillfully made it makes you shift uncomfortably to the edge of your seat. It's a binge of cringe. show more

This movie is ABSOLUTELY the most DISAPPOINTING movie ever made by far. Joel Edgarton had to have paid The New York Times for the good review! The movie builds up into something that seems like it is going to be amazing and fantastic but leaves you wanting to burn the DVD, ask for a refund and hunt the writer down and slapped him and ask him "What the HELL were you thinking&********************** worst than watching a crappy Horror film. This movie should be against the law. If you want to see a movie where the antagonists prevails while the main characters suffer until the end then this is the movie for you. They could have made this movie a triumph but instead decided to make a piece of CRAP, yeah CRAP. It's so painful to the naked eye. It is definitely a waste of time. This is the first time I have ever heard of Joel Edgarton if I ever see or hear another movie or book written by him, I would definitely spit on it. From now on, I will never believe in reviews written at the back of DVDs specially a review written by The New York Times. I will make sure I'll read the reviews from movie viewers instead... It's clearly not a tear jerker but it does want to make you kill yourself . Please give yourself a favor: don'******* this movie or buy the DVD. I ripped my copy including its jewel box.

3.5* Some say it is a five because it had so much potential but no, I've got to come down because of the ************* like the writer got tired of writing and just said, "Let's just kill everybody." And that interfered with a good movie going experience. There is NO panoramic views of Australia which would have helped this out a lot. The leading female actress was cute AND beautiful; DAVID ROBERTS does a superb perfomance as the husband who lost his way. All of the actors worked well here but the script sucked. There was a lost of detail. But then again, I did remark to someone after the viewing ************** authentically Aussie.

Awesome movie! definitely a dudes movie, but girls would like it too, not a love story, unexpected scenes that jolt you out of your seat. Thrilling ending, unknown cast to me, but all round good acting talent, worth going to see.
