It is exciting that the courageous voice of a woman from a small village in Iran has made its way to the big screen. It is my hope that the theater seats fill up quickly and people are inspired to end such injustice! I'm also quite excited to see people's reactions to the film, as well as learn more about human rights and moral courage.

John Debney did the music for this film. Just like Passion of the Christ, the music is beautifully haunting and makes this film that much more powerful. This is definitely a must see movie. Honor killing has not honor to it. It must be stopped. Every individual has rights that needs to be protected. Thank you for making this film!

This is such a powerful movie. I can't believe stoning is still being practiced. I'm trying to understand different cultures and customs but this is ridiculous. Will have to see the movie again. It is a must-see. I knew the tragic ending due to the title but I have never seen a stoning done before. The way that Cyrus Nowrasteh, the director and co-writer, shot the scene is both elegant yet so disturbing. Coupled with the haunting music, I got chills thinking about the scene. Although the reason why Soraya was sentenced to death seems a bit cliché, it makes you wonder that these false accusations exists especially against women since this film was based on a true story as was told in the internationally best-selling book of the same name. This film is not just about stoning but more importantly about women's rights and human rights overall. Go see it. www.the stoning.com.

I ************ the 'screening' of this film. To think this still goes on in the world. To think women in other countries have NO rights. As human beings in this day and age, these things should NOT be happening. It was a moving film, disturbing, thought provoking, it will anger you and make you want to do something to stop such things. I'm glad this is being brought out so that the world will see, and I can only pray that it will bring such things to an end. See the movie, and thank the Lord we are Americans. We take things for granted living in this country, this movie will make you appreciate being an American. As American women, we should be SO greatful our daughters will not have to grow up to this kind of life.
