Very suspenseful movie. Was on the edge of my seat for a good part of the movie. Plot was somewhat predictable, but worth seeing.

I thought it was a very good movie. It kept you on the edge of your seat the whole time. And the fact that it was based on a true story gets you having even more goosebumps. And i think at one time or another everybody has been home alone and heard weird noises, but obviusly this was more than that. I amn only 11 so it might not scare you adults as much as it did me. But it had a bad ending not bad but okay. I thought the movie was good and worth the money. =]

Cinematography, amazing. Music, creepy. Miscellaneous Sound, extremelychilling. Visually stunning. Simultaneously beautiful and terrifying. Not much of a plot is necessary for a suspense-filled thriller likethis, but Bryan Bertino may as well have invented the genre fromscratch. This is not another campy B-movie slasher, but a legitimatework of art and psychologically exhausting. A minimal film and a masterpiece. If you want to be "so scared you think you're going to puke" see The Strangers. The first picture that has truly, legitimatelyscared me in a very long time. 9 out of 10 would be more fair than 4 out of 5.

The plot was predictable. The whole thing with people jumping out at you to scare you is stupid. The ending made it even worse!Total waste of my money.

It was really good, super scary! It would have been much better if Miley Cyrus was in it, she's the greatest!!! Go see it everyone! You will pee-pee your pants!!

I've been a scary movie fan for over 30yrs, and have to say...'I liked it" Didn't love it, but I wasn't bored and as long as I kept in mind it was "based" on actual events I thought it was fair enough. I experienced great, good ole' fashion suspense. I did not leave dissapointed.

Not worth the bother. This movies fails to establish any connection with its audience. I couldn't care less about the characters if they were a group of stupid teens fornicating at a remote cabin in the woods. Kept waiting for the story to get to the point. A couple of spooky masked folks jumped out and sayed "boo". I just wanted them to hurry up and kill the couple so I could get home. I would love to see a thriller where people actually make intelligent decisions for once.
