I love this film, which I consider a classic disaster flick. We find a roster of stars like Fred Astaire,Robert Wagner,William Holden and legends McQueen and Newman. The unfortunate disaster occurs at an opening gala of a tall apartment tower. What we find is that there were corners cut; The manager short-changed the residents, and was too cheap to spend money the \"right\' way.McQueen plays a local fire chief who has seen his share of shoddy work and lives lost. The tension mounts, as the men get greedy and careless. In the end,we find hundreds of innocent souls taken out because of negligence.
