What was Chris Carter thinking? X-Files fans were expecting Aliens. et all, and all they got was a good CSI. I didn't get the I want to believe, what did they want to believe? I was so disappointed. The only good part of the film was the acting. I would never have gone and wasted my money. Should have gone to see The Mummy.

For those of us who are true Xfiles fans and remember that they finally showed that Mulders sister died and stoped searching for aliens after this I LOVED IT. it was well done and I was soo glad that they got together. I agree a sex scene would have been to much for us. And they relationship was played off well. Also Xfiles was never really known for CGI and special FX so that didnt surprise me. What everyone needs to remember is unlike the show Mulder and Scully do not have access to the FBI files anymore and can not just pick what cases they want to investigate and what ones they dont. He was called in to consult on this case like a FBI profiler would have been which is where everyone is getting confused I think. I loved this movie and have seen if 4 times myself so far. If you havent seen it yet please just realize that chris carter and frank have said more than once this moive is more about Mulder and Scully than anything. And if you are a fan of the Xfiles then you already remember that the Xfiles was not all about aliens but about darkness and pain and sadness lest you forget episodes like ( eve, bad blood, Home, Shapes, Tooms, Milagro, El mundo gira, the amazing maleeni,) just keep in mind the ep ( leonard bets, beyond the sea) when you go to see it its more along the lines of that.

Wouldn't even be a good TV show. CSI does a better job. It is anti Catholic Church and anti Republican. All about Bad priest stem-cell use. Who wrote this junk??????

X Files is a smart film. Don't go expecting special effects by the tons, explosions, CGI and whatnot because it has none. It's not what one would call a blockbuster summer movie. Instead it's a thinking film, it actually requires the viewers to put the pieces of the puzzle together. The audience has to think and make up their own minds on what they see - whether they believe or are skeptical, about what's right or wrong and whether the main characters are flawed for believing what they believe in or if it's that very belief that pushes them forward, never giving up.Give it a chance, you won't regret it.And STAY THROUGH THE CREDITS - there's a SURPRISE at the end.

OK.......maybe the movie lacked in some areas we have come to expect from The X Files. Nevertheless, it was an entertaining movie, with both Mulder and Scully, appearing somewhat older, but still delivering. It was a nice touch to see Assistent Director Skinner again. The story line required one to actually think about what was going on. Perhaps one of the better portions of the movie occurred when the credits were shown and we could see Mulder and Scully basking in the blue waters near some unidentified island. I wonder how many people actually stayed for the credits? Overall, a good movie, especially for X File fans. definately

This movie SUCKED! It wasn't even a good fit for a one hour episode during the series! It was lame and repulsive! It was like low budget and lets scrape by with on foot snow scenes. Big Whoopie! I want my money back. Has Carter lost his mojo?
