Absolutely brilliant film! Top-notch acting all the way around, very "scarily-realistic" look at global terrorism, moved at a fast paced from one international location to the next, liked the twist at the end. Good things on this one, liked it very much.

Big "Thumbs Up" for this one! I loved it! Great spy thriller stuff sort of like a "Syriana" meets "Bourne Indentity" type flick, but with a much more realistic story and great "surprise" toward the end. Don Cheadle is just fantastic (as usual) as Samir and Guy Pearce is great (also as usual) as the FBI man on his tracks. These two guys had such "amazing" chemistry when on screen together it was soooo great to watch. A nice "break" from all the popcorn summer movies (aka: Special Effects Blockbusters)...I think more people should see this just to get a better understanding of the mindset of people of different faiths and beliefs because this really is the most intelligent film I have seen in a long time that makes you realize we are still laging behind with all that here. Check it out it's really worth seeing!

Excellent movie! Don Cheadle is one of the most exciting, if underrated actors in the business today! I was mesmerized from start to finish! Great supporting cast as well, but Cheadle should be at least NOMINATED for an Oscar!!

Traitor is a story set right in the middle of the War on (Islamic) Terror. We start with the arrest of Samir Horn (Don Cheadle) in Yemen. He gets the usual brutal treatment from the local authorities, fellow prisoners, and even one good punch from a visiting FBI agent. He is offered a chance to get out of prison in return for cooperation. It seems a good deal but Samir turns it down. I went to this movie because I needed something to do on the holiday and this was the only non-action, non-comedy I could find nearby. What a surprise. The plot was complex and thought-provoking, and Cheadle set just the right tone as an on-the-edge operative guiding us into a forbidden world that we usually only cringe over in headlines. It's a film that challenges us to stare into the unthinkable. I won't forget this one any time soon.

This was by far the best film I saw this weekend. I'm a former military man having done some work with special forces guys over the years as well as gov't G-Men and the depiction of what they go through and how they go about it was extremely accurate in this film. Actually probably the most accurate portrayal I've seen in films in a long time. Extremely realistic. The story was terrific it moved at lightening speed and I thought the actors did a tremendous job. It was very intelligent, thought-provoking and very REAL. Excellent job by all involved in the making of this one!

I loved this movie...the script was well wriiten and the actors carried out the roles, giving excellent performances. I love movies that pull at all of your emotions and get you to ponder the thoughts & actions of "the other side".

Very cool, intelligent espionage thriller. Intense story, good acting by entire cast and especially the two lead actors, really liked that it moved from one international location to the next at a fast pace which added to the intrigue of the story. Film is basically for adults and requires you to think; I agree with the other reviews here that said it doesn't rely heavy on special effects to move the story forward. Instead, it requires you to pay close attention to the fully-weaved plot. I basically decided to give it the 5 stars because I think overall as a package, this film really delivers (story, acting, intensity). I recommend it.
