I really enjoyed this film! I saw the trailer presented once or twice during the Olympics and it stayed with me. Unfortunately I was away for the Labor Day Weekend when it opened? So I only got to see this on Monday afternoon when I got back...BUT...I am SO glad I did because next to "Dark Knight" this summer, this is by far my favorite I think. The acting was great I love Cheadle anyway in "everything" he's a good actor; Pearce was HOT (holy smokes sexy!) ..he was terrific as the FBI guy...It was kind of a scary premise of the world we now live in..I didn't find that the film was showing any one group as terrorists..I think they gave you the impression that terrorism no longer has "one face"...It could literally be ANYONE! I thought this film was well-done, loved the different locations and how it moved around at a quick jump..really made you think. I hope everyone gets to see this, if not for the fact it has great actors in it ...but...to see something smart and that leaves you thinking.

This is a very fine movie for the intelligent adult audience. It has a well developed plot and very believable characters. This movie does not have to rely on special effects or car chases to provide edge of your seat excitement. Kudos to everyone involved with this picture!

Thought the movie was excellent and a true depiction of the radical nature of arabs and muslims. By the way, the movie doesn't have to concentrate on degrading and showing muslims and arabs in a barbaric way. They do a good enough job on their own every day in the middle east and through out the world. Very backward and ignorant people.

Just saw this movie. I thought it was a bunch of racist propaganda used to futher demonize and dehumanize muslims and arab people.

FINALLY something intelligent with a "story" and for ADULTS this summer! Soooooo tired of special effects driven movies. This is a nice needed "break" from all that. It requires using your "brain" and to "think". That's not to say this isn't full of fast-paced action because "Traitor" does offer that as well...It just isn't "over the top and graphics generated to the max. The acting was terrific, loved Don Cheadle and Guy Pearce. I recommend seeing this for yourself because I don't want to give away anything in the story but there is a really interesting "twist" at the end which really shows the reality of the current state of the times we live in. I give this two big thumbs up, a great spy thriller.

I saw "Traitor" Sunday night and thought this movie was great! Very much a hats-off toward all the Robert Ludlam spy thrillers and homage to films of the 70s like French Connection, etc. This movie moves at a very fast pace as you watch Guy Pearce's G-Man coming "this close" to Don Cheadle's Samir the US Operative and/OR the "Traitor" (you'll have to go to the movie yourself and find out which or both). The acting was outstanding all the way around, including bit players (like Cheadle's friend Omar who is excellent in this)...I'm a big fan of both Cheadle's and Pearce's and on screen together in several scenes they just have perfect chemistry! I was like "ahhh FINALLY good acting in a movie this summer ...(rest in peace Heath Ledger you were great too in Dark Knight). I think you sort of had an idea what the ending might be like so it sort of suited the film. There is a twist at the end which you don't see coming necessarily and THAT's more the suprising ending (also very well-done and extremely thought-provoking). This film is probably the closest look at current world terrorism than any I've seen out there. It's so realistic that you go home and think about it far after the movie is over. Which I think is the point to this film...it's done its job there 100 percent! Go and see this movie! For the superb acting, for the intense story, for the quick pace...and for the after thought.....

This movie was good, but this movie just went on and on and on. I didn't think it was amazing. I thought it got really boring at a lot of parts. I thought it would be better.

I agree with EeeZeeWriter's review. Just shows that Hollywood is more interested in making money with canned happy endings than it is in making real art. Everything but the ending is great.
