Excellent Fun! Very intelligent, well-acted, great spy thriller! Action was just fine wasn't "over the top" (didn't need non-stop CGI effects to keep you interested in the story)...Don Cheadle was just great as usual, Guy Pearce (HOTTIE) great as well..and nice to see Jeff Daniels again (very good as the CIA guy). I saw "Traitor", "Babylon A.D" and "Death Race" this weekend so far and for me? "Traitor" was hands-down the best of the three. If you want a change from all the over used special effects and are looking for good acting and good story than "Traitor" is the one to see, check it out!...

NOT an action film in any way. Think of it as a spy drama that plays on modern fears of Muslim extremists. Good story and good acting. a few unexcpected twists balance out the few holes in the story. the ending got a little predictable....

Gripping, powerful, thought-provoking, intelligent, current, well-acted. These are all adjectives I would use to describe the movie, "Traitor". I thoroughly enjoyed this film. It is by far the most well-written film of the summer and it didn't require the usual CGI, heavily-latent violence, car-chases, etc. ..in order to keep your attention. It is a "thinking" man's film (I certainly had NO trouble staying WIDE-AWAKE with interest following this film!)....Don Cheadle gives a powerful performance; Guy Pearce is enigmatic as the FBI Agent trying to figure out if Cheadle is indeed "the traitor"...It is a fast-paced movie with a surprise to its ending (one you may ..or may not...see coming) It doesn't have the "blazing-guns" and "high powered cat-n-mouse chases and explosions" of the Bourne films? But what it does have is an actual story with depth to its characters and allows you to use your brain to figure out who Samir really "IS" (or "IS NOT") Terrific film and definitely for people looking for something intelligent this summer!

Okay, if you are selling this film as a BOURNE film, you are crazy... This was a sleeper... literally.... I fell asleep. The plot was slow, the director's pace was too slow for anyone to really feel the importance. Cheadle was good, as always Pearce was good, and good to see Daniels in something! But I could recut this film into something much faster paced. It dragged on and on! Needed to be no more then 90 minutes. If you are wanting to get out of the heat, go see it. I personally feel the director owes me money for false advertising! This is no better then a Netflix rental. Oh well, too each his own!

This really was an excellent film. Kind of a sleeper because it snuck up on me. There really wasn't a lot of advertizing for the movie so I didn't have a lot of expectations going in. Honestly the movie didn't have a lot twists that I couldn't see coming, so it wasn't a very suspenseful film. I would rank it near the first Bourne movie but the action is no where near the same level. That's the reason I gave it 3 out of 5. Definately worth seeing though.

I agree with "Geshie1"! I just came back from seeing "Traitor" this evening and absolutely loved it! Very intelligent, full of twists-and-turns, keeps you on the edge of your seat all the way to its surprise climax. Don Cheadle was "tour-de-force" as always and Guy Pearce was just fantastic as the FBI G-man on his Cheadle's tail from one international location to the next. Top notch acting, probably the best I've seen all summer (next to Heath Ledger in "The Dark Knight")...This ensemble cast, in my opinion, gave "the BEST" performance of all the summer films. It does have that Bourne Ultimatum feel to it, including camera shots and locales..but this one is a thinking man's film...makes you leave knowing that, global terrorism? No longer has just "one face"...Go see this!!

The best spy thriller I have seen this summer. See what happens inside a Muslim spy cell here in U. S. and around the world. Cheadle is sort of a black muslim Jason Bourne.who works for the U.S . Go see it and sort it out. Edge of the seat land pulsating score fine acting.
