So for the last 2 months or so I have gone to every big opening at the theaters, everything from Spiderman3 to Evan Almighty and I can honestly say that they all come up short, (and thats being polite, most of them have been flaming turds!) Transformers delivers. Not the best film ever, the action scenes are a bit too confusing, (the camera is moving way too much, also the how much can I blow up in this scene mentality is working) and the acting gets to be a bit too much (John T's character was way over the top), but overall a good summer flic. If your going to see it in a theater go to the matinee. Its good, not 10$ good, but good enough.

Hi,I'm w/ the Mayors Office of Employment Development in Maryland and was so excited to take my 5 yr. old son to see the movie that I grew up on. I called myself doing my research only to be so shocked at the foul language used throughout the movie. It bothers my heart that movie makers would create such a disaster, however, I do realize that it's all about the money. The most stunning part is that it is no secret that kids of all ages continue to make the Transformers part of their lives and knowing this, movie makers would add the filthy words adult scenes. I would be surprised if I was not w/ the Mayors office. Once more, it won't stop until we begin to stop paying.

While I went into this movie knowing the basis, this move was awesome! It kept my interest from beginning to end and was action packed . Of course there was not a deep story line but who would really be expecting to see that when entering a theater to see "Transformers". It is what it is, slightly corny but over all a terrific movie. It was great, very entertaining and super fun!

My mouth was opened for the entire movie. Michael Bay did his thing on Transformers. I remember Transformers vaguely when i was a kid but this really brought back the little kid inside me when i watched it. It was action packed and Optimus Prime was kickin some ***. I would go see it a million times and will never get tired....and i'm a girl

I really enjoyed this flick. The nerd gets the girl, hot cars, great action. I was entertained for 2 hrs. The comic relief was great, Anthony Anderson was excellent. To me this was a breath of fresh air. What do we have to look forward to? Hostel2 watching innocent americans getting tortured? ****

I am a transformers fanboy and I loved every minute of this film. Some of the jokes fell flat but some were really funny. THIS MOVIE ROCKS!

What a dissappointment. I loved the Transformers growing up, and what a movie he COULD have made. No story, nothing was explained, and about 6 entire scenes could've been omitted. THe secret 7? Who cares....I can't stand another plot line of the secret government agency...yada yada yada. For one, they didn't even introduce these guys, and there was NO story around them. They didn't introduce hardly any of the other transformers except for Optimus and bumblebee...and just a bunch of fast paced hard to follow action that culminates in taking the most important energy "thing" to the top of a building??? What the...THe Decepticons are flying all over the place, so we're going to take this cube thing to a Huey so it can get blown to bits? I don't think they spent more than an hour writing this movie, and it shows. Die Hard was leagues above this one and I'll easily see that again. What a dissappointment. If you're a true fan of the cartoon, and you felt this Movie did it justice, then you are not a true fan.

So far this year I have seen three good films; Shooter, Live Free or Die Hard, and Transformers. It's big, it's loud, and it's everything that the commercials promised it would be. The acting is very good, proving that even a "newbie" actor like Shia Labeouf can carry a movie, and that you can actually care about a CGI robot. The special effects are fantastic, and I haven't laughed so hard at a movie in a long time. If you want to go see a movie that reminds you how action films should be, then go see Transformers. I promise you'll love it.

What a disappointment. 90% of the movie was boring with corney jokes and the 10% action scenes, although great, didn't make up for the movie's shortcomings. There were too many weak (and unnecessary) stories going on and it was almost like they mashed them together in the end hoping it would make sense. Another reviewer put it so well and said they put scenes in just for the sake of putting scenes in. Couldn't agree with your more. Most of the Transformers didn't get much screen time so you couldn't really love or hate any of them. I also agree with another review that said they were expecting "Autobots vs. Decepticons not Decepticons vs. army guys or even Autobots vs. army guys". For those of you that grew up with the original series don't expect it to be true to the series and prepare yourself for a let down. For those that weren't into the series you'll find it entertaining.
