Saw the movie. I give it 3 stars. You HAVE to see the first Underworld to understand it. AZt first I was wondering where the heck Kate Beckinsale was in the beginning, but then it all made sence. You will like the special effects too.

I wonder what happened to the movie being about Marcus and William and how they came about? Wasn't that what it was originally supposed to be about? Anyway, I can't wait to see this. I was so excited when I found out it was going to be about the war and Sonia and Lucian. That's much more exciting than Marcus and William.

OMG thank u 2 VampiresLycn......i have read so many comments from ppl bad mouthing Kate saying she didnt do the movie and the new girl doesn't compare. Hello she doesn't compare to Kate cause she's not playing Selene!!!! Why are ppl not realizing this is before Selene was created!? It's very frustrating to me lol. Thank u for being smart enough to realize this lol. im not sure if ppl aren't paying full attention cause they are so pyshced anouther one is out or if ppl are just running on stupid lately!!!!

FOR THOSE WHO ARE WONDERING IF THERE'S GOING TO BE A 4TH MOVIE, WELL...THERE MIGHT BE. LEN WISEMAN WAS PLANNING ON DOING A 4TH FILM THAT WILL ONLY BE A BOUT MICHAEL & SELENE. That woman does bear a striking resemblance to Kate and I look forward to seeing this movie because I liked the other 2 very much but my question is this: In the end of the second movie, Kate's character said dark times still lay ahead or something to that extent after the 2 races had been cured. I'd like to know whether there really are 2 more movies in the works and if there are, will Kate be in them.

A true Underworld fan would appreciate where they are going with this new movie. The people saying no Kate no movie, clearly dont appreciate the story behind the movies. They can always come out with another movie to satisfy the people curious about the kid they will have, and how the lycan and vampire empires will react to the hybrid race that will be created. To be honest , I think coming out with the prequel was smart, cause I believe they could be more creative with telling the story that led up to the first two movies, rather than just following up with a sequel.

They did not replace kate, the character is Sonya, the real daughter of Victor that Kate's character Selene resembled so much thats why kate is not in it. though yes a end to a trilogy would of been nice this movie will still be great
