I don't know what movie you people saw, but I thought this was one of the best movies (let alone Pixar) that I have seen in awhile-and I see A LOT of movies. I saw it first with my husband. We laughed, we cried, and laughed, and cried some more. I took my 10 year-old neice to see it tonight. She thought it was great. I saw this Saturday with my dad and it was very cute. I love the dog and bird. The 3-d aspect was a bit lacking, but overall a good movie. My dad liked it as well. It is a tad sad at the start, but it had to be to understand Carl. It's life. Not all is happy times. I loved all the characters!

I think this movie was excellent. I didn't find anything distasteful. Infertility was never mentioned and neither was child abandonment. I don't know what some people were watching. They're afraid to let their kids see this movie but when these same kids turn 15 they have no problem letting them pierce their naval or leave the house with no clothes on. I find that interesting.
