Ok, Nataliewlk305. 1st off, if you're going to insult people you should learn how to spell the word you're using. Especially an insult that calls someones intelligence into question. It lends you no credibility, but then again neither does all caps, 'omg, or a 100 exclamation points. Secondly, it seems you have a lot of growing up to do if you think that because someone has a differing view than you that lends to you the right to insult or criticize. Its people like you that make this world more difficult to be in that it needs to be. Grow up.

Why do these parents on here say awwww this wasnt a kids movie .. Its was depressing!.. Wake up.. its called the real world. Kids are not easy fooled these days. Every generations thats comes after us are smarter and whitter. In the real world people die and thats life. Now if u were complaining about the language in Transformers i would have to agree but, your talking about a kids movie made by Pixar. Come on now. Get a grip on life

I went to this movie with great anticipation and excitement. 24 hours later I am still disappointed and trying to convince myself that somehow I missed out on the greatness that everyone else seems to have taken from it. From a totally technical standpoint it was fantastic, but the story just seemed like a lot of great ideas for a movie put all together without regard to the how well they are meshed when put together in the story. I hoped this movie would lift me up out of the funk from so much rainy dreary weather we have had for three weeks straight. It didn't, not for a single second.

Enjoyed "UP" and was fascinated by the technical aspects of its production. Will there be a book about how the picture was put together....? Marv Bonowitz Marvannebonowittz@aol.com

ShredKS, From the real world. Let me give you some other PG movies. The Incredibles, Madagascar, Ice Age, Over the Hedge, Robots, Shark Tale. None had questionable content. I do not rely on the "MPAA". I trust the people on here more. Same is true for critics - I would rather read a real person's post. Now, you either don't have kids or are just arrogant and would like to tell us all what to do. All we are saying is this movie is not what is advertised.

My children (5 and 12) and I enjoyed this movie so much that we're going to see it again today. It was funny, poignant, and extremely entertaining. Loved the portrayal of Doug; he was just like our own silly family dog. Definitely going to buy this one when it comes out on DVD. Regarding the comments that the film is depressing and that some folks walked out: You missed out on a lovely story of love, devotion, and adventure. Two thumbs up from my kids and me!

From the MPAA website... A PG-rated motion picture should be investigated by parents before they let their younger children attend. The PG rating indicates, in the view of the Rating Board, that parents may consider some material unsuitable for their children, and parents should make that decision. So there you have it. Take responsibility. You brought your child to a PG movie and were upset by the content? Then do a little research next time. Or, stick to G-rated movies.
