We made a date with friends to see this movie and then I read many of the above reviews. I went prepared to not like, but said nothing to the others in our group. SO happy to say that we all truly enjoyed this flick. So cleverly written with it's twists and turns that kept the surprises and chuckles coming. Happy that I didn't miss it!! Our entire group agrees!!

I found the movie to be thorougly engaging, witty and thought provoking. I also enjoyed the acting and the plot. I would definitely see it again.

I liked this movie very much. Javier Bardem is fantastic, and so is Scarlett Johannsen. In some of the lines, you can just HEAR Woody Allen's voice. This isn't GREAT Woody Allen, but it is very very good.

I am glad I read the synopsis after I saw the film, because the movie was pointless. Was it meant to be funny? The kindest thing that they could have done was have Penelope Cruise shoot the audience. The kiss that Scarlet gave Penelope was as passionate as watching Ward kiss June on leave it to beaver. What was with the Rick Seabeck narration. For better entertainment, stay home and clean the lint out of your belly button. On the positive side, there were some beautiful shots of Spain, but I can get that on the travel channel. can I give it a negative star rating?

I loved the movie and I usually do not enjoy Woody Allen flicks. The movie had me from the start. The scenes of Barcelona are wonderful and the story was very engaging and funny. Many large laughs from the audience. Javier Bardem is a terriffic actor, but Penelope Cruz gave her best performance ever. I think she earned an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Don't buy the "Celebration of love" crap or the"sick society" crap. This was a funny sensitive and artistic movie about some society outliers. The acting was supurb.

I can honestly say this was the most SENSELESS, DULL, DUMB, RETARDED movie I have ever SEEN. There was no substance, no plot, no direction; it was just about people with nothing better to do then to criticize human nature. People started to walk out but I kept wishing that it would turn around, I was disappointed. A total waste of money!!!.
