I thought the movie was typical Stone. If you don't agree with him, he will make a movie about you. Save you money, you are going to need it soon. You can get the same information by watching CNN.

Josh Brolin is superb as is the rest of the cast-- however, I am curious as to how Mr. Stone actually got this material as some of it is very intimate--- bathroom scene with W talking to Laura, all of the father and son tirades--where does this eveidence come from especially since the Bushes are particularly good at making bad past histories go away-- seems doubtful at best;

I don't get the reviews. If you wanted to watch a simplistic blasting of G.W. then stay home and watch Youtube. The movie does an excellent job of building the character that became G.W. The movie doesn't try to blast or defend G.W., it just tries to understand his motives. Not sure if the movie is 100% accruate, but fiction or not, it's very believable. Oliver Stone did a great job on this one!

This movie was excellent, I think the majority of the user reviews that are negative are because the viewer had prior expectations. Like most of the other viewers, I thought the movie was supposed to be a ridiculous parody of George W. Bush's presidency. While I am a staunch Republican, I can find humor in political representatives that I support. Considering that like me the average viewer would think this movie is a satire, it is clear that it may draw more liberal people who are not Bush supporters. However, I think any educated person Bush supporter or not, will be interested in this movie. It is very interesting and is able to demonstrate the Humanity of our President. As normal people sometimes it becomes difficult to realize that famous people or people that are always in the Limelight are normal people, who are as fallible as we are. This movie wittily and cleverly is able to demonstrate the humanity of George W. Bush.

This movie wass pretty miserable to sit through. All it did was prove that W. was not jut a loser at being president, but a loser at EVERYTHING he did. Maybe the movie should have come out before his second run for president and he wouldn't have been elected a second term lol. But then.. not sure we'd be better off to be honest anyway. It just made W. look like an even bigger idiot then I thought he was already. Please don't waste your money.. not even for a rental on netflix lol.

I was totally disappointed in this movie. W, as we all know was a loser in everything he did in life. It appeared that even his mother and father didnt have any faith in anything he touched. The movie was a complete drag and it "just" ended. Everyone in the theatre looked at each other and said what the heck just happened. Don't wast your time and money on this trash. A real LOSER!!!! Zero Stars!!

I left in the middle of this film. I didn't like it at all- first off, "W" is an extremely unlikeable character.. and why would anyone want to relive *any* part of the last 8 miserable years.. Don't waste your money OR your time.

Just got back from this movie and I reccomend it to someone who wants a behind the sceens look at President Bush. Basically this movie is about his stuggles and I think that it's a good signing out card as he leaves office. Deffinatly worth seeing.

I was reluctant to see this film due to the mixed reviews but I'm glad I went. It was better than I expected,had an impact on me, and I think it is worth watching. If you need violence, explosions, shooting, aliens and the like in order to enjoy a movie, this film probably won't fit your bill. It goes behind the scenes during a particularly wrenching time and is delivered through the lens of a biography. It gave me pause, it is thought provoking. If it engages you, it will touch you.
