Not so sweet, mostly boring women bonding over their various infidelities. Keri Russell stands out, but only barely, in this hard to concentrate, all over the place movie. Rent it, or wait for HBO to air it.

I thought it was good. Definitely not a "guy flick" though. I liked Brokeback Mountain better.

I went and saw it even though I thought it would be a chick flick. I did not think it was one at all. The story was funny and sweet. Yes it may be more appealing to women, but I thought the movie was hilarious and an unexpected surprise.

Uplifting true-to-life tale of a small town girl stuck in a all too common situation. I went with a man who hates chick flicks and he loved it also. Very well written with a cohesive plot. All performances were exceptional. No shooting, murders, car chase and crash, screen flshes or loud soundtrack. This has a really exceptional musical soundtrack that may become a hit like Brother Wherefore Art Thou did.

This is a great "feel good" film. Keri Russell is gorgeous. But leave your guys at home, this is definitely a chick flick.

My husband and I were looking forward to seeing this show--it sounded like kind of a cute idea. But instead, it was incredibly disappointing. Stupid, gross, extremely unappealing. People walked out during the show. We stayed hoping it would get better, but instead it got worse. The language was about as bad as it gets. They made sex look cheap and disgusting. Drug situations galore. They belittled marriage and marriage relationships. They glorified drugs, bad language, immorality, and made both men and women look ridiculous. It was sort of a "there is no right or wrong--anything goes" type of message. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone of any age.

A point which seems lost in this film is the prohibition between physicians misusing their professional position to become sexually involved with a patient. (see, also, Prince of Tides- where Barbra Streisand, as a psychiatrist, has sex with Nick Nolte...)In many states this conduct is criminal and he continues as her treationg physician! OK, I know this is a movie and as a physician myself, I know that this happens...but the offense her is minimalized and glorfied as quite acceptable. There are physicians who have gone to prison for this conduct and the breach of the fiduciary duty is substantial. The damage to vulnerable patients is substantial and often catastrophic (suicides...) and not to be ignored in a "real world" analysis after the film is over. Elliott B.
