I went and saw it even though I thought it would be a chick flick. I did not think it was one at all. The story was funny and sweet. Yes it may be more appealing to women, but I thought the movie was hilarious and an unexpected surprise.

I enjoyed this entire film and I have recommended it to all of my friends. Why did I like it so much? I liked the different names they came up with for the pies that fit Jenna?s life. I liked the struggle that Jenna had with being impregnated by a husband that she grew out of love with. I also liked the performances by a great cast and I feel that Keri Russell should be nominated for a best actress award. This may be a ?Chick Flick,? but I am a sixty year old man and I found it to be well written, well acted, and very well filmed. I am sorry that the world of film making lost such a talented women as the writer and director of this motion picture, Adrienne Shelly. I felt that this was one of the best films that I saw this year. Here is a tip for you, see this film.

My daughter and I passed on Fireworks to see this movie, July 4, and it will be one of our most memorable Independence Days. We were throughly entertained. We now make up pie names and recipes to capture the good and bad days we have. We were shocked that Adrienne Shelly died such a horrific death not long after this movie was made by her. A true artist and writer was lost.

This should have been a TV sitcom. It was not plausible. An attractive girl like this would not be stuck with the loser husband. The OBGyn doctor would not be having sex with his very pregnant patient and wanting to run away with her. It was just stupid. A big waste of time.

My family sees movies once a week. We've become rather picky. When my dad suggested us girls go to the Flicks for a 'chick flick' I was like 'Like the last one where someone was raped and then happy.' He told me to research the movie and I wound up in love with it before watching. It was one of those awesome 'unknown greats' like 'Little Miss Sunshine' that deserved an Oscar. It was a movie that cleared our hearts and then filled them right up again.

...A luscious movie. Heartbreaking to think that Adrienne Shelley did not live to see the phenomenal success of her film. People will be humming the "Pie" song for a long time to come. We should all bake more pies.

This movie is beautiful all the way through. Keri Russell is beautiful and so is the scenery, camera shots and story line. It was funny and sad at times and had all the right stuff. I must see this again and also buy the DVD when it comes out. I work in a pie shop, so I was extra interested in that angle of it. It was cute that they were all sitting in Joe's table at the end. Very sweet.

The characters really made the whole movie believable. Its sorry, that it can really be true to life, thats why some people may not like it. Life, just ain't perfect, and there is no sugar coating it. We just can't get it right and I give Shelly all the credit for tying to make a happy ending.

Uplifting true-to-life tale of a small town girl stuck in a all too common situation. I went with a man who hates chick flicks and he loved it also. Very well written with a cohesive plot. All performances were exceptional. No shooting, murders, car chase and crash, screen flshes or loud soundtrack. This has a really exceptional musical soundtrack that may become a hit like Brother Wherefore Art Thou did.
