The movie for anyone who has dreamed of watching young dinos in love. show more

It's unlikely that a dinosaur wrote the script — the Writers Guild of America makes no provision for Cambrian membership — but this animated feature is dimwitted all the same. The title should be "Trudging With Dinosaurs" (in 2.5-D, for all the grandeur the glasses confer), because the only semblance of a plot is provided by a long migration to winter grounds. show more

Yes, the film’s CG dinos look great tromping in the Alaskan wilderness, but children deserve better than such unchallenging fare. show more

    Michael Rechtshaffen The Hollywood Reporter

Walking With Dinosaurs takes rewarding advantage of a much bigger budget and state-of-the-art technology to bring its impressive collection of Cretaceous creatures to vivid life. But while the walking part’s pretty impressive, the talking part — not so much. show more

Educational content, clever and photorealistic dinosaur CGI, and John Leguizamo voicing a prehistoric bird. What else would one need for a fun movie stew? show more

    Joe Williams St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Strange hybrid of science lesson and Saturday-morning cartoon. show more

“Walking” takes care to ID each new dinosaur species introduced, including factoids about what they ate and any special skills they might have had. It’s downright educational. Just don’t tell your kids that. show more

    Lou Lumenick New York Post

Poor John Leguizamo, who hopefully got well-paid to voice a stereotypical Latino bird providing a stream of nonsensical narration. show more

    Tom Russo Boston Globe

However well-intentioned the movie may be, it spills over with flat cutesy humor, making a slog out of an experience that should be filled with wonder. show more

    The Globe and Mail (Toronto)

Unfortunately, the only thing that dies harder in the movies than natural selection is careworn cliché, and Barry Cook and Neil Nightingale’s movie about a plucky, lovestruck pachyrhinosaurus named Patchi subjects our long defunct earthly ancestors to a fate arguably worse than extinction: a life lived in a world of cheese. show more

Horrible \"kid\" movie! So graphic and violent. Could not believe it when the dinosaur was tearing into the babies dinosaurs dad while they watched OMG . Could they NOT left it up to our imagines that the dad died. COME ON, bambi, lion king, frozen, and all others were done. DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS

I have a 4 yr old OBSESSED w/ dinosaurs. I took him, thinking we might have to leave if it was scary. He LOVED it! I don\'t think the Dad dying was so awful- remember Bambi\'s mother? My son was not scared a bit & it was beautifully made. Story could use some help but overall it was quite good.

I saw it today and it was good. If your expecting something like Land Before Time, your gonna be ***************** about real life dinosaurs and how they lived way back then. Wouldn\'t recommend it anyone under the age of 12 years old. It\'s pretty violent just without the blood like in Jurassic Park.

Horrible \"kid\" movie. I suggest no parent take their small child. OMG the violence was completely NOT needed. They could have left it up to our imaginations that the dinosaurs killed. We did not need to see them get ripped apart. Especially when the dad is killed in front of his kids. Horrible movie

This is a movie about DINOSAURS. Dinosaurs were not the fluffy, friendly animals you see in Dinosaur Train and other animated shows. They were in some cases violent and primal creatures. If you\'re too ignorant to do some research on a film before subjecting your children to it that\'s on YOU.

Great animation but more like a wildlife documentary. A little slow and audience is mostly 5-10 year olds.
