I typically love movies like this and I was very excited to go see it. Then I went to it and after about 15 minutes I was ready to walk out. I stayed the whole time and just waited, and waited, and waited for it to get better. It never did. This is one of the longest, boringest, piece of crap movies I've ever seen in my life. WAY too many storylines that dragged on for WAY too long. Not nearly enough action or excitement to make up for the incredible number of meaningless boredom. Too much violence, language, and sexual activity. Don't get me wrong, I love sex, bad language, and violence in most movies, but in this movie they just all seemed out of place and completely unneccessary. I will try to watch it again on DVD to see if I just had a bad day or something, but as of now this is the worst movie I've seen this year and one of the worst in quite a while.

heyy....i am 14 and i thought this move was going to be sick...from the moment it started i liked that it was allready action. but then it got confusing. through the movie there were some cool scenes....other than that the movie made no sence what so ever....i can understand that they were trying to blaqme mr. manhatten so there would not be conflict beetween other countries....but it was so pointless....dont see it the most crazy movie...dont bring children under 10...nude scences...and a lot of violence.

that movie was soooooo good omg!! it was the most kick ass movie!!!!! LOVED IT!!!!!!!

I enjoyed the dialogue but it was far too gory for me to thoroughly enjoy. I kept having to look away and in turn missed more than half the movie. I was expecting good fight scenes more, I guess I was expecting something more like the Spiderman movies, lots of action not a ton of gore. I liked the general story line but I also thought that they could have developed the characters a bit more. Not to mention there there was only one good sex scene considering all the penis flapping in my face! Oh well. I would have enjoyed it more if it was 2hrs or less with less sickening gore and less penis. :) Oh and if I hadn't spent over 10 bucks so go see it.

Watchmen is an exceptional movie experience. It is one of the rare films that will grab you in and like it or not bring you along for the ride with stunning visuals, layers upon layers of depth and in your face simply classic human themes (what is "good" or "evil", what is "justice" or "revenge", "forgiveness" or "weakness", etc.) all under the guise of a "superheroe" movie. It's not for everyone & that is a very good thing - just like living in NYC, you either get it & thrive or it is just too much for you. As for Dr. Manhattan being nude - so what? He's animated and his character is slowly but surely slipping away from normal human behavior & thought - no surprise that he sees clothing as a strange concept (much more realistic than the Incredible Hulk still having pants on when he goes from 98lbs to 300lbs). The soft porn is a bit much and clearly targeting teen age boys, but it serves an important contrast to the violent scenes that leave Silk Spectre and Nite Owl breathless (which is where they are really connecting). Add on a well paced soundtrack and this is a classic. Thankfully not everyone will like it which will allow it to keep some edge and darkness intact - perfect!
