She's hopeless, he's hopeless, and this movie is just ghastly. show more

The thin premise here seems better suited to a sitcom episode than a full-length feature. That's not surprising given that director Mark Mylod's résumé includes British TV comedies and "Entourage" episodes. show more

    Carrie Rickey Philadelphia Inquirer

In some scenes, Faris' sheer velocity gives the movie liftoff. In others, it doesn't hurt that Evans, who looks like the very young Alec Baldwin, and has the sonorous voice of Mark Feuerstein, is the film's sex object. show more

This comedy is empty. show more

    Kirk Honeycutt The Hollywood Reporter

Mild vulgarity and discreet nudity garner the sought-after R rating, but this effort feels forced. The real "bad" here is the sheer formulaic nature of everything. There are no surprises but for once you don't much mind. show more

There's a fine line between a character who has a sense of humor about herself and one who's being repeatedly humiliated for entertainment value, and I'm afraid Ally falls on the wrong side of the line. show more

What's Your Number? trades in the sort of hard-R crudity that's become standard since "The Hangover," but the added explicitness doesn't make it any less artificial a contraption. show more

    Connie Ogle Miami Herald

It's full of lively and crude sexual banter, discussions of hookups and sex and Joel McHale's bare butt. Oddly, all this makes the film funnier and more accessible than you might imagine. show more

It's that awkward, tedious monster mash of "chick flick'' and romantic comedy. show more

It does induce a few giggles like cheap champagne. show more

Ugh! I like chic flicks, really I do. I am a chick, it is hardwired... But this one does not get my vote. Why does the girl usually go for the wrong guy? WHat message are women taking from this? Wait long enough and he will change into a nice guy? Yeah right.

My 18 year old daughter and I went to see this movie. Was a little hesitant since I\'m not really a Farris fan but thought it was an okay movie. Don\'t listen to critics reviews since they can be a tad harsh, they need to lighten up. You knew what the outcome of the movie was going to be in the beginning ********* still a fun film.

honestly..i think the job of having to write reviews for movies has taken the joy out of movies for most critics. Its made them forget how to enjoy just a sweet funny movie.
