    Frank Scheck The Hollywood Reporter

At least a fright-wigged Joe Mantegna, delivering an execrable cameo as a whacked-out doctor, has a good excuse for his presence; the writer-director is one of his former film students. show more

It's mostly harmless dum-dum stuff, though. show more

    The New York Times

The slapstick and action set pieces are lame, and its performances range from competent to annoying. show more

    L.A. Weekly

Still, it’s hard to despise the movie, especially when Peter Stormare shows up over-enunciating the most brilliantly awful English accent of all time. show more

If you need a GPS unit to find your own backside, you'll be laughing uproariously at Witless Protection, a movie that's far more interesting politically than dramatically -- or, God knows, comically. show more

Larry The Cable Guy is a cancerous boil on the ass of comedy, but it's still sort of shocking how little effort he puts into his movies. show more

By far the funniest movie I've seen in a LONG time. Larry The Cable Guy is hilarious! If you want to laugh, go see it.

this movie is really funny, but it's pretty stupid. looks like it was very cheap to make to. but some of the jokes they came up with are HILARIOUS!! i don't know if it's worth going to see in theaters, but definately as a rental

"Hollywood keeps making these lousy movies just to pay their high salaries. These producers, actors, writers, and directors are making millions on your backs! Stop going to the movies until they start making some movies worth paying for!"

I loved this movie and this is by far the best movie you'll see. I have high expectations and Witless Protection went above and beyond them!!!! This is the movie to see if you are looking for a good laugh!

i think this movie is definitely PG-13, but since i am old enough to understand the older commentary and humor that would make children under 12 go "huh? what's that mean mommy?" Witless protection was the funniest Larry The Cable Guy movie i have seen so far. i'm still a sucker for Blue Collar Comedy Tour, and the sequel to that one as well. i am, always have been and always will be a sucker for a good laugh. And, i justhought i'd inform you that laughing burns calories...that's why your stomach hurts when you laugh so much! since most of us regular non-grouchy folks like a good laugh, i'd defintely say to see and buy this movie. And remember...have you laughed today?
