A few scenes in World's Greatest Dad may qualify it as the most uncomfortable and unsettling movie to sit through of any this year. show more

For a comedy about autoerotic asphyxiation, epic deception, and shameless exploitation, World's Greatest Dad is a surprisingly sweet and tender affair. show more

This premise is well-established because of a disturbingly good performance by Daryl Sabara as Kyle, the disgusting son. show more

Goldthwaite's script has the honesty of someone speaking with the voice of experience. show more

The edginess here isn't merely facile. Goldthwait's movies, including the under-appreciated "Shakes the Clown," are about reclaiming dignity from the dung heap. And he's found a fitting collaborator. show more

This movie by far one of my top five worst movies ever. What were they thinking. . I had to check to see it was a comedy more than once. Oh my. Terrible movie. Not funny at all.

Black humor ****** best. Pain, simplified. An great movie that heralds back to the days when artists used the medium at hand, in this case film, to send a message. One of grief, acceptance, and the general chaos of human existence. Watch it from start to finish. Cast aside what you accept as \"Horrible\", \"Disgusting language and content\" and take with you that life is not simple, nor easy to rationalize, it is merely what you want it to be. Best film I\'ve seen in years. Come to the darkside we have cookies. ^_^

Horrible film! Disgusting language and content. The language belongs only in porn films. ********** wants to see a 15 year old masterbating/axphiciating himself? Hanging dead in a closet? This is a film that should not have been made.

This film is much darker than any film that Williams has done in the past. His son dies while Masterbating to his teacher/fathers girlfriends pic....Bobcat is a genius...and rather than accept the fact that his son was a below avarage person in general he constructs this tortured genius profile around the boy. Other than being funny this movie pack a powerful message we could all learn from. When you masterbate with a belt around your neck, better to have a partner than not. But seriously this is a once in a lifetime movie for all involved. Not very often you can be shocked, appaled, confused, and laugh all in the span of one movie...loved it!

Excellent film. Don't be fooled, even though this is a Goldwaith film starring Robin Williams, it is original and very well acted. One of this year's best.
