I read the graphic novel about wolverines origin and i can tell you the movie is not the same as the comic. it wasn't even close.with that said i still found the movie very entertaining and can't wait to buy it when it comes out.

I grew up a huge fan of the XMEN, and really enjoyed the first three films. For me, this film was a big disappointment, primarily because the previews are very misleading. The previews lead me to believe that there would be a number of mutants with fantastic powers featured in the movie, but in reality, everything you see in the previews happens in the last 20 minutes of the film. The other characters you see in the previews (like Gambit) have almost no screen time at all. This movie was definitely a vehicle to feature Hugh Jackman, and if that's what your looking for, then this is your movie. If you are looking for a good XMEN movie, don't waste your money. (you should see Star Trek, it is a MUCH MUCH better film)

Well, LucidDreamz717, I thought the movie was very reasonably good. The purpose of your review was to state that you were "mildly entertained" and you also included the fact that you "were a fan as a kid and collected all the comics". That is the quandary in this situation. You are accustomed to the action-packed comics, where you anticipate more of the movie. My information is that me and my companions went to go see this movie and 2 out of 5 were X-Men fanatics (as they also collected the comic books when they were young). So when we got into the theatre, we watched to whole movie. When we got into the main square, those two were over in the isolation, talking to each other. When I walked over to see what they were talking about, they said that they didn't enjoy the movie that much, and it was lacking "pizzaz". So stating my reason, me and my other companions thought is was reasonably fashionable, and expected nothing more or less from it. For intance, take TLWhite76 for example!

Take TLWhite76 for an example. Not a fan of the movie series or the comic books. Yet she percieved the movie to be rationally au courant.

This movie just wasn't very good, but I wouldn't quite dub it awful. I was mildly entertained, as I collected the comic books as a kid so I'm a fan of the series. Even so, as an objective critic there's no denying that the end result fell short. The most rewarding part was the the very end when a sci-fi god (no spoilers here) made an appearance, foreshadowing the continuation of the series. There was also a "hidden ending" that was pretty cool, though concise. It hardly made up for a lackadaisical film up till that point. If you're a fan of X-Men, by all means go and see it, but if not you will probably want your $9 and that 2 hours of your life back.

I'm not into movies like this but I thought that this movie was great. Me and my daughters initially did not want to see it but my husband talked us into it. We were all glad that we saw it! We were talking about it all the way on the ride home. My husband is a big X-Men fan and he helped me throughout the movie to understand some of the characters and situations. He questioned some of the plots though (like the brother in the movie is actually his father in the comics) so I guess the die hard X-Men comic readers probably didn't enjoy it as much as I did.

Good wrap up to why this man is the way he is. Hugh Jackman as always does a great job . Great action packed movie. I'd see again. I just am not sure how to take the last scene in Japan? I will not have to think on the connection...

Not very good. Slow moving, bad acting, hard to follow at times.
