Honestly, I was disappointed. I did read the entire series and it's safe to suggest that the book is usually better than the movie. However, this movie almost paralleled with The Clone Wars (Star Wars #2). It was not exciting, but did plant seeds for the next movie. Revenge of the Sith was clearly excellent, despite the lameness of Star Wars 2. Similarly, the 1/2 Blood Prince gave an overview of the book and I pray that the next 2 movies will include the excitement and tension which were completely lacking here. As an educator, the Potter books turned non-readers into readers; the reward is to watch a great movie after plowing through thousands of wonderful pages. The tension leading up to Dumbledor's death was not great and completely different from the book. Bill and Fleur were non-existent; light a match to honor the master's death; I can do that at a Neil Young Concert. Snape told Harry to just stand there and shhhh while his mentor dies: LAME. Let's pray for the next one

I don't know if I should comment since this is the only the second Harry Potter movie that I have seen but I thought it was very good and very entertaining. I go to many movies and this one had my attention from beginning to end. I can't compare it to the book but it was a very good movie.

compared to the last one, this movie was such a dissapointment to me. Deffinitly the worst of all the movies. There was so much more to be desired. finally for everyone out there. HARRY POTTER IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE A ROMANTIC COMEDY!!! IT should have a little romance here and there obviously to show the growing of the characters and some humor, but come on ppl!! thats all there practiclly was in the movie. it shoulda been action packed in a lot of parts and dark and misterious in others. rele rele rele hope the last 2 r better.

ok seriously people the book and the movie are two different things!!! they can't fit a 600 page book in to a two and a half hour movie and if they wanted to, they could've made a 4 hour movie but it would be too long so for all those people who think it was stupid because it left out a lot of parts..... DEAL WITH IT AND ENJOY THE MOVIE!!!!!!!! by the way, the director did say that the funeral is going to be the beginning of the 7th movie

ok i have not read any of the books and i was still disappointed it did not appear to have as detailed of a plot as the previous movies it was not as interesting and the humor was ok but really detracted from the seriousness that was present in the previous five ....I kind of want my 7 bucks back hope the next one is better

Please why did we watch Draco pulll the cover off repeatedly besides all his failures and for what...... so we could watch the Deatheaters follow Draco out of Hogwarts after Snape kills Dumbledore and a few strangers roaming around the castle we suppose to Order members but it is never clear. And how did Snape just appear in the bathroom after Harry hurt Draco, and he didn't punish Harry? THIS MOVIE IS BRIGHT AND LIGHT OVERALL AND WE LOVE HARRY SO MUCH but JK's writing is fab as is. keep to the book. condense but keep to the book. PLEASE.

Ummm, How is Harry supposed to find the crown of Ravenclaw? While the kiss scene was "cute" it left yet another vaulable piece out for #7 they already left out the mirror in #5 they'll need for #7. Here we are nearing the end of a central characters life... besides they made it look like Harry stood there & he didn't!!!! No FUNERAL!!! I'm worried about #7! I seriously don't know how they are going to run clean up on all the major missing pieces. And for all you stupid...blah blah blah you can't expect a 2.5 hr. movie to be just like the book. Duh, we know this. We can all read. Most likely you didn't read the book. We just don't know why they spent all the energy adding things that didn't happen when could have spent the same time and stuck to the book. As the largest book series ever sold it apparently is good enough without changes :) We don't need new house fires or wand liftings to make it good, it was already awesome!

this movie was so disappointing. i mean if you haven't read the books its gonna make the seventh movie no where near as amazing as it should be, and even worse, for the people ******** the book this movie was even more of a let down, partly because so much was left out , changed, or added for no reason.We're disappointed in how much we have to explain to other people to do the book any justice. i'm actually worried about how the next film will turn out. hopefully they surprise me.
