More local new, this time some praise for Kevin Willmott's "C.S.A., The Confederate States of America."  Willmott directed, wrote an stars in Ninth Street, and is a professor at the University of Kansas. CSA uses a "faux documentary" style to depict what would have happened if the South had one the Civil War. From LJWorld: Willmott, whose movie "C.S.A. The Confederate States of America" will play next week at the famed Sundance Film Festival, praised his home state during a news conference with Gov. Kathleen Sebelius. "One of the things that people don't realize … everyone who worked on this film was from this area. It's not like you have to come from L.A. to make a film here," Willmott said. Willmott, an assistant professor in the film department at Kansas University, said Kansas had a deep bench of technicians and actors from which to draw.
