One of the great things about the Sundance Film Festival is that the subjects of the docs come to the films come to the Q&A sessions. One of readers brings us this tip (you send us a tip with the form in the toolbar on the right):
Went to see the documentary Deadline on the 16th and there was a surprise guest for the Q & A, former Governor George Ryan of Illinois. Deadline gave the audience the opportunity for an inside look into debate concerning the credibility of the Illinois capital justice system. After all the press and scrutiny about Ryan's last minute decision to commute the sentences of 142 Death Row inmates, it was a brave act to show up at Sundance and be available for questions.
