IFPIFP/Los Angeles

is presenting an eight week program entitled the Digital Seminar, designed to explore the latest happenings in digi production, exhibition and distribution. The seminar will run from May 8th through July 8th, with no seminars on 6/17 or 6/24.

Speakers at the seminar are scheduled to discuss topics such as how to decide on the right digital format for a given project, discussions of projects already shot on 24P and mastered on HiDef, producing a feature on Mini DV, editing on Final Cut Pro and desktop digital effects.

Scheduled speakers (subject to change) include: Director Greg Harrison and DP Nancy Schreiber (November), Walter Murch's first assistant Sean Cullen (Cold Mountain) and Jonah Lee Walker, editor and After Effects artist (The Lord of the Rings special edition DVDs).
