More Sundance aquisition news tonight: according to The Hollywood Reporter, Focus Features will pay $2 million for world-wide rights to Brick, a high school-set mystery by first-timer Rian Johnson. John Sloss, who repped the film for Cinetic Media, fielded several other offers after its premiere early in the festival, but waited until the end of this weekend to accept the offer from Focus.
