Bigfoot Partners, the
investment arm of Bigfoot Entertainment, has wrapped principal photography on actor
B.D. Wong's directorial debut,
Social Grace, co-starring screenwriter
Fay Ann Lee,
Roger Rees and
Christine Baranski. Formed in 2004 by businessman
and entrepreneur Michael Gleissner in August 2004, Bigfoot Partners' goal is to
support Asian-American filmmakers and showcase Asian culture for American and world audiences.
In a prepared statement Gleissner, who is also the exec producer on Grace, remarked that "Asians are the largest ethnic minority in North America to have virtually no voice in feature films." He added that "Our film fund offers a chance to bring many of these untold stories to the screen."
