The 12th Annual Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Film Festival will present an Outstanding Acheivement Award to U.S. filmmaker Errol Morris. The festival, the largest in North America to focus exclusively on documentary film, will also present an Errol Morris career retrospective, screening films such as Gates of Heaven, The Thin Blue Line, Mr. Death, and last year's Oscar winner, The Fog of War. According to Reuters, Hot Docs will also feature a program of films by Larry Weinstein, a Canadian filmmaker best known for Ravel's Brain, as well as a specially curated slate of films from Israel. The festival takes place in Toronto from April 22-May 1, and the full lineup will be released on March 30. For more information on this year's festival, visit the Hot Docs homepage.
