Via Bitter Cinema: three of the greatest horror scores of all time are now available for listening at Stylus Magazine's Mp3 blog, The StylPod. My favorite StylPod selection, Fabio Frizzi's score to Lucio Fulci's Zombie, sets junk-shop organs to a heartbeat, and then whips the spook-kitsch into a Kraftwerk-worthy bridge. Also of note: Italian prog-rock band Goblin scores Dario Argento's 1977 ballet-school-massacre masterpiece Suspiria, and with its tinkling synths and dry-heaved "refrain", anticipates the next 15 years worth of horror soundtracks.
