Samuel L. Jackson
presents the Best Original Screenplay Award to Charlie Kaufman, and I'm happier than I've been all night. His mention of Jim Carrey gets a small smattering of applause. He starts off by referencing the time clock visible to all winners ("28, 27 …") and wraps up by saying, "I don't want to stretch it out - I want to get off the stage."

This award makes me very happy. I expected it, but still - I'm glad.
