Earlier this week, Miramax Books chief Jonathan Burnham left to become a Senior Vice President and publisher at HarperCollins; his exit follows the defections of acquisitions exec Arianna Bocco and Dimension co-president Brad Weston. Now, a piece by Ian Mohr in this morning's Variety suggests that whilst Bob and Harvey Weinstein are expected to take certain select employees wiith them to their post-Disney venture, the elongation of their talks with that parent company is causing impatient employees to jump ship. With production at Miramax all but shut down, and most employees clueless as to the status of the ongoing talks, staffers may have little reason to wait around for an unpredictable verdict.
