In her ongoing quest to salvage some semblance of a post-Gigli acting career, Jennifer Lopez has signed on to star in a new film by Gregory Nava, the director of her breakout movie, Selena. The project, entitled Bordertown, will begin production in Mexico and New Mexico at the end of April. Lopez's Nuyorican Productions will co-produce. She's easy to make fun of, but remember: the quintuple threat did excellent work early in her career, in Selena and Steven Soderbergh's Out of Sight, even if the bulk of her films since have been at best forgettable. Her most recent attempt at a serious role was opposite Robert Redford in An Unfinished Life - a film mysteriously shelved by Miramax.
