Lions Gate Family Entertainment have announced their first project since their recent restructuring: a CG-animated feature about the "afterhours world of a supermarket," entitled, Foodfight! (shhhhush! Lower your voice!). Sister stars Hilary and Haylie Duff (they're the blond ones, Grandma - the really blonde ones) will provide voices. But here's what's really curious: by setting their animated film in a supermarket, Lions Gate are opening the door to product placement like you've never seen. According to Reuters, the producers have already struck deals to use well-known food product "characters" (such as Charlie the Tuna and Mr. Clean) as "actors" in their film, and "will announce two major promotional partners soon." So, basically, this is like that Mastercard advert, remixed to appeal to the tween audience? Hotttttttt.
