The Cannes Film Festival is reaching out to the smaller film industries of the world. Tout les Cinema du Monde (All World Cinemas) will allow six countries a day (including Morocco, Sri Lanka and Austria) the opportunity to show small, emergent or even unfinished works. The Provence-Alpes-Cote D'Azur region is providing $900,000 in order to build a new theater specifically for the event. "We've wanted to do this for a long time," says Cannes president Gilles Jacob."We want to maintain our head start when it comes to discovering new talent."
