Spielberg and LucasStrange collaborations hit the newswire today: George Lucas went to long time friend Steven Spielberg for help on Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith. As it turns out, Spielberg was given a few scenes to play with at the animatics stage: a bit of the Mustafar duel, and Yoda's duel with the Emperor, and a couple of others.

How much of Spielberg's contribution made it to the final film, only Lucas or Spielberg could say, particularly as George revised and reinvented every scene in the film so extensively in editorial. Either way, we must wait till May to see the final product on the big screen. If the first two prequels are any indication, the real question may be… If a movie script is bad, could Spielberg really help it?
