tombr12.jpgBritish newspaper The Sun reported yesterday that Daniel Craig is about to sign on as the new James Bond. This is disapointing for Cinematical; we were hoping we could believe the very loud whispers that this role was going to Clive Owen, because Clive Owen makes Cinematical's tummy ache with desire. Alas,  Owen was apparently offered the role but turned it down, paving the way for the casting of the lesser known Craig. The 37-year-old British actor was the Ted Hughes to Gwyneth Paltrow's Sylvia Plath in the drippy biopic Sylvia; he's also appeared in such films as Road to Perdition and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.

Any thoughts on this? I guess they can't all be Pierce Brosnan, who as far back as Remington Steele seemed born for Bond (if nothing else).  Who was your pick?
