Star Wars LineYesterday I reported on the third annual Star Wars line in Los Angeles, CA. Well it turns out that the 250 people waiting in line have run into a little proble... At this time, the Hollywood Chinese Theater is not planning on showing Revenge of the Sith. What's worse is, insiders say that it's definately not going to be playing at the Chinese Theater.

The theater has a long and famous history with Star Wars and this is definitely an unexpected turn. The first Star Wars premiered at the theater in 1977, where all of the prequels have played, and George Lucas, Harrison Ford, R2D2, C3PO, and Darth Vader all have their foot prints in the walkway.

LiningUp.net now responds saying they have lined up twice before without confirmation that the films would play there, and both times had been told it was going to play somewhere else.

"Hopefully, our luck olds out for a third time. If not, we’ll still have an incredibly fun time relaxing with other Star Wars fans and raising both funds and awareness for the Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation."

FilmThreat.com reports that instead, Episode III will be at the Arclight Theatre, just blocks away, but not in the Cinerama Dome as Lucas does not like that screen. The Arclight is already promoting the digital projection of Sith on their web site.

"We are raising money for an amazing charity, Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation, that works to brighten the lives of seriously ill children," says liningup.net. "We’ve only been in line for 3 days and we have already topped more than $6200 in donations, with hopefully tens of thousansds more to be raised."
