daniel_craig_enduring_love_interview_top.jpgA spokeswoman for British actor Daniel Craig, named by The Sun earlier today as a sure-bet for the role of the next James Bond, is denying that her client has signed a contract. The flack wouldn't comment further, and the film's production company wouldn't comment at all, but thisislondon.com takes pains to point out that this means that Clive Owen could still be up for the part. Other names they float include Jude Law (too blonde), Heath Ledger (too young), Eric Bana (too so-what) and Hugh Jackman (too ... Broadway). And whilst I've always liked the idea of Ewan McGregor taking the part, I doubt he'd want to tie himself down to another franchise so soon after Star Wars.

Thanks, Bob, for the tip!
