To commemorate his 30th anniversary as America's most visible (and no, that's not a fat joke) televised film critic, this June Roger Ebert will be awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. When asked for comment on this honor, Ebert said. 'I just read that when Saul Bellow won the Nobel Prize, he said, 'The child in me is delighted. The adult in me is skeptical.' I feel the same way, except that the adult in me is delighted, too.'' A fitting statement, considering it's that kind of mix of erudition and Pollyannism that got The One Who Isn't Siskel where he is today.
