Stan WinstonVisual effects master Stan Winston told Cinemania magazine about the preliminary plans for Jurassic Park 4. He said it's definately "going ahead." And thank god, because what would we do without another sequel?

"There will be a Jurassic Park IV," said Winston. Everyone's excited about getting back together to do a fourth film. Winston says he wants to raise the bar and "bring the world something extraordinary."

He admitted that development has slowed down as Steven Spielberg wasn't very enthused with the first couple of screenplay drafts. Winston says Speilberg felt neither of them balanced the science and adventure elements effectively.

"It's a tough compromise to reach, as too much science will make the movie too talky, but too much adventure will make it seem hollow," Winston told cinemania. "So we're sort of on hold at the moment, just waiting for the written word to be in place, and then it's full steam ahead, baby!".

The fourth Jurassic Park film is rumored to be filming in New Zealand later this year. Sam Neill is expected to return as Dr. Grant. Let's just hope it is better than the third movie.
