The Fusion Film Festival seeks to promote and support emerging female filmmakers through industry panels, screenings and filmmaker/spectator discussions. It's the first student-run film festival based out of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, and in just its second year Fusion has already established itself with semi-big-name talent and well-curated events. The jewel of this year's festival is Friday night's screening of Me and You and Everyone We Know, to be followed by a Q & A with writer/director/star, Miranda July. Me and You premiered at this year's Sundance to rapturous reviews and was awarded a Special Jury Prize for "Originality of Vision." This and most Fusion events are free and open to the public; the festival runs through the weekend.
