To coincide with the film's week-long stand at the Northwest Film Forum, Nelson explains why we need the lessons of Roman Polanski's masterpiece now, more than ever. It's an unabashedly personal essay - it's underlining tone is, "Disagree? Then screw off and go see Sin City" - but it's also done in the efforts of philanthropic outreach. "There are still people who haven't seen Chinatown," Nelson writes. "It's always a shock to discover them, often working right alongside you; they look just like regular people."
