michael_moore.jpgAfter having been banned from following through with a scheduled speaking engagement at the school because there was not enough time to find a speaker to make a rebuttal argument, Michael Moore is creating a scholarship at the California State University at San Marcos, intended to rewards students who "defy the administration and stand up for student rights." A $2,500 scholarship will be given to two students each for a minimum of four years; in a statement, Moore said that he's funding the award because he believes that "the university should not be a place for fear, but a place for bravery, free thought, and a little bit of rebellion." I'm extremely conflicted on Michael Moore as a filmmaker, but to give students a financial incentive to fu*k sh*t up? We are soooo into it.
