When Worlds CollideFans of 50s sci-fi classics have been warned: Hollywood is remaking another one. Sure, Spielberg and Cruise have War of the Worlds coming up this summer, and with those two guys involved you know it's going to at least have at least little class and entertainment value, probably more. But it always makes me nervous when the classic flicks are remade. Scifi.com is reporting that director Stephen Sommers is going to have a go at When Worlds Collide for Paramount. The good news? Sommers directed The Mummy. The bad news? He also directed Van Helsing. Note to Hollywood: don't you even dare try to remake The Day The Earth Stood Still. Seriously.
