Been meaning to check out a Tribeca screening, but find the schedule too daunting to know how to proceed? Well, tonight's a really good night to check something out. I'm about to run off to the 6pm Tribeca Cinemas screening of The Baxter, a romantic comedy inspired byBilly Wilder's The Apartment and directed by and starring Michael Showalter of The State. If I hadn't seen it already, I would definitely stick around for what I believe is the last screening of Alicia Scherson's Play at 9pm. It's a great little romantic fable, and you should catch it while you can, because it's still searching for distribution. Finally, if you're up for allegedly underwhelming sex, plus performances by The Dandy Warhols and Franz Ferdinand, you can head over to Tribeca Center for the Performing Arts for a screening of Michael Winterbottom's 9 Songs.
