In an interview with Sci Fi Wire, 20th Century Fox Film Co-Chairman Tom Rothman revealed that a sequel to Alien vs. Predator will happen. Am I the only one asking WHY? I have never met anyone who enjoyed this movie, not even any of my sci-fi geek friends. And to think, the budget for a sequel could probably fund Enterprise for another few seasons.

"We will do another one of those for sure. It was a big success," Rothman said. "In the new Alien vs. Predator they will finally actually really come to our world."

The previous Alien and Predator movies took place in the future, and Alien vs. Predator took place in modern times. The new film could bridge the gap between all the movies and the two horror film franchises, Rothman said.

Before receiving a Life Career Award from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films, Roth found time to joke about the characters comparison to terrorists. You can find all this and slightly more in the full SciFi wire story.
